I can understand Mr John Timbrell being confused with reports in the local newspapers but I can assure him that the Independents will remain Independent.

If an issue comes before the council, either by a Labour, Conservative or Independent, I will vote for or against which ever I feel is beneficial to my constituents and the Forest of Dean.

Independents have no party whip so are still free to vote independently.

I was voted in as an Independent and will stay that way.

I am pleased Mr Timbrell could see some of the tactics used by the last council and voted Independent. I can assure him I will not let him down and I know this goes for my fellow Independents. What I would say, I am sure we can work with all sides to make this a better Forest, putting people before politics.
