CELEBRITY-spotters and fans were out in force in Chepstow on Monday when the world's rarest identity – only one known to exist – landed in the High Street.
Such is the pulling power of wildlife guru Sir David Attenborough that people started queueing from 8am for the great man's appearance at 2pm.
Sir David was greeted by the mayor, Henry Ashby, and his wife Tanya, before heading to The Chepstow Bookshop where he signed copies of his latest work, Life Stories, which he has written after 25 years as a television wildlife programme presenter.
By this time the queue for a personal audience stretched the length of St Mary's Street and up into the High Street.
