THE 21st century built steam train, 60163 Tornado is to travel through the Forest of Dean and Monmouthshire on St David’s Day.

The train leaves London Paddington at 9.30am on March 1 and is due at the Severn Tunnel Junction just before midday and will reach the Welsh capital at lunchtime for a break of more than three hours.

The train’s return journey will pass through Lydney and follow the Severn estuary to Gloucester before heading south-east by way of Stroud to Swindon where it is due to arrive at 7.20pm.
