SIXTH form students from Monmouth Comprehensive School have put together an exhibition telling the story of Rockfield recording studio and its relationship with the town of Monmouth.

The students, who are working towards their Welsh Baccalaureate qualification, were supported by the team at Monmouthshire Museums Service and had the help of Rockfield Recording Studios.

Stables to Studios: The Story of Rockfield, Monmouth and Music, opened to the public at Monmouth Museum on Saturday, April 23. Items on display include the acoustic guitar used by Noel Gallagher to record Oasis’ 1995 hit Wonderwall, a tambourine used by the Stone Roses on the album Second Coming, Rockfield’s visitor books and never-before-seen images.
