THIS year's Coleford Battle of the DJs winners will receive their prizes from the 'queen of hard dance' and the UK's number two hard dance DJ Lisa Pin-up.
The God Save The Queen touring legend has agreed to grace the Coleford Festival with a live set in late May following the DJ battle in March.
"I've known Lisa and the other Tidy female DJs (Amber-D and Anne Savage) for some time now and they've always encouraged new music, young producers and up and coming DJs, which blends nicely with the policy and ethos of the Music Festival, " says Tranzfixation's DJ Maximus-T, who is organising the battle with Switched On (Coleford Festival).
"To have a DJ of the calibre that Lisa is to perform for the Festival is fantastic news."
Festival chair Vicki Thornton said: "Following the success of last year's battle and the increasing demand for young DJs to have some sort of platform, we are delighted to be able to offer the chance for the 2009 winner to not only share the same billing as Lisa at our May event, but also to receive recognition of their achievement from one of the most popular and successful female DJs this country has produced."
Battle of The DJs will take place on Friday March 27 at Magnums Coleford with the final stages open to the public from 10pm (admission fee to Coleford Festival).
Battle entrants must be aged between 16 and 25 years and should email djmaximust@ aol.co.uk or text 07874 038859 before March 21.
Lisa Pin-up has been booked to perform on Friday, May 22 at Magnums Coleford.
