Anyone else see John Craven and Jules Hudson's programme about the Forest of Dean's heritage.
They went over the border to Newbridge to a hall paid for by local miners who contributed a penny a week for the community space. Now the community is chipping in to restore the place because they realise it's too valuable to lose.
Our – I mean your – Wilderness Centre might be lost if we don't chip in to save it.
We also have a lot to lose. The site is up for sale. It has fantastic views and a fascinating local history comparable with Littledean Hall.
As an outsider, perhaps I can see what true Foresters are too close to see.
If you are a Forester, think of how you miss things and places that have long gone and regret not campaigning to save them.
Check out The Friends of the Wilderness' site and consider what you will be missing if it goes into private hands.
None of my business really, but I mean well. Please pledge say a fiver. I don't think you'll regret it.
