WITH reference Sally Twyman's recent letter advising how Foresters could save petrol money by advertising unwanted items on Freecycle instead of taking them to the tip I would like to promote another money saving tip when one wants to use tools that are only infrequently needed.

Streetbank, already running in the Forest has things like scaffold towers, car ramps , post rammers etc available to loan for nothing, All one needs to join. is to offer something to loan or a skill that you are willing to share. We could do with some more members to add variety to the skills and tools on offer. It's on the Streetbank website. Just be sure to increase the default area of interest from one mile to 15 miles which is better for the Forest of Dean.
