THE University of Gloucestershire is acquiring the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail Archive of drawings, texts and documents.
The University Archives, held at the Francis Close Hall campus in Cheltenham, is a collection of material dating from 1845 onwards.
The University Archives and Special Collections room has been newly refurbished, is open to the public by appointment, and is already home to a number of unique collections, including the Paul Oliver Archive of African-American Music and Related Traditions, Dymock Poets Archive and UA Fanthorpe Collection.
The new Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail Archive will be launched on Wednesday March 16 with the signing of an agreement between the University and the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail Trust.
The documents and other items, including maquettes and video footage, from the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail are planned to be installed at the Archive by the end of March.
Senior archivist Lorna Scott says she is delighted with the news.
"We are thrilled to offer a new home for the Sculpture Trail Archive," she said.
