WOULD the decision makers please reconsider the concept of transferring Five Acres college to the Steam Mills lakeside in the Cinderford Northern Quarter, for the following reasons:-

Because it undermines the whole Coleford, Christchurch and Berry Hill economy.

Because the existing site is much larger, accessible and it exists in a settled woodland setting amongst other education centres with an adjacent swimming pool, sports, training, and theatre facilities.

A transferred college will require a long, dedicated spine road access which will cost many additional millions to that already budgeted.?This is because a geological mining report has revealed 170 old mining shafts, bell pits and holes around the site.

There has never been an adequate environmental, geological assessment and the only case made to date has been a political case to regenerate Cinderford, albeit at the expense of de-generating the Coleford area.

-That funding already budgeted for the spine road should be invested in re-equipping/rebuilding a new Five Acres college on the existing site in keeping with the wishes of the people.
