I HAD to smile at the letter from P Young entitled "well written".
He has a short memory. No more than a couple of months ago he was praising Richard Leppington for an "intelligent, factual response" to his letter on immigration. Yet now he accuses of "anti-everything vitriol". I suppose a week is a long time in politics.
P Young also praises Owen Adams for his letters. That must include the one where Owen exposed UKIP's Colin Guyton as a former police officer from Teesside.
Colin is, in fact, an ex-accountant from Hitchin. Still Anarchist Adams is never one to let facts get in the way of a good smear. Bless him, we always get a good laugh out of his letters.
So let's end on another fact. UKIP is not an extreme right-wing group. It is a libertarian mainstream political party. However, as P Young said in his previous letter: "if, in a debate, one resorts to name calling then the moral high ground has already been lost."
– John McOwan (UKIP), Bream.
