MY great uncle was Harry Beddington who during his

lifetime fought long and hard both with his books 'Forest

Humour' and 'Forest Acorns,' written in dialect, and also

his beautiful drawings and paintings, to maintain the

traditions of our fantastic Forest of Dean.

I know that if he was with us today he would be

appalled at any proposals to sell off any part of our

gorgeous Forest.

For all Foresters who have gone before and those of

us who are here today, please sign the 'Hands off Our

Forest' petition in order to preserve the Forest of Dean as

it is for generations to come.
