BURGLARS stole thousands of pounds worth of distinctive silver pieces when they broke-into a house in broad daylight.

Armoured figurines, tray sets and spoons with a bird head emblem were among the items stolen from a home in Dymock on Tuesday afternoon, December 5.

Other silver stolen included brushes, plates, serving dishes and salt and pepper pots. 

Anyone who has seen these items for sale or has any information which could help police with inquiries should call 101 and quote incident 344 of 5 December.

Police are appealing for information about the raid, which took place between 1pm and 5pm.
