ALL Saints Church in Longhope will raise its roof with two music acts performing on Saturday, January 23.

Friends of Longhope Church are looking forward to welcoming Lydia Borg and the renowned Gloucester and District Christian Choir for an evening of uplifting and inspirational music.

Chairman of the Friends, Tina Coull said: “With the Christmas festivities just a distant memory, what better way to light up a dark and dismal winters evening than a night of music at the All Saints Church in Longhope?”

Soprano Lydia, who is living in Longhope, will be singing I Dreamed A Dream, Star Vicino, I Could Have Danced All Night and Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again.

The talented 21-year-old trained at The Arts Educational, the patron of which is Andrew Lloyd Webber, and now feels ready to take her undeniable talents to the next level.

Meanwhile Gloucester and District Christian Choir will sing a variety of songs with a repertoire to suit all ages and tastes.

Tina Coull added: “We are delighted to be hosting such an event so early in the year. With such a talent as Lydia living on our doorstep we are proud to showcase her talents – and this will be complimented by the unique and wonderfully entertaining Gloucester and District Christian Choir.”
