PILLOWELL School Band and choir has presented the proceeds from its carol singing to the Friends of Lydney Hospital.

Chair of the Friends, Tony Midgeley accepted the cheque for £140 which reflected the hard work of the pupils who sang to shoppers at Lydney Co-op.

“The children enjoyed playing for the shoppers in Lydney and received many positive comments,” said assistant headteacher, David Wildin.
