CHRIS Higgs, the Forest of Dean's emerging boxing star, has chalked up his second victory as a professional – a fight watched live by thousands of fight fans who tuned in to Sky's Friday night boxing programme.

Higgs defeated Birmingham's Sid Razak, who is managed by Richie Woodhall. The fight was over four three minute rounds with Higgs winning every one and taking the verdict by 40 points to 36.

Higgs' performance delighted a large following of boxing fans from the Forest and Monmouth and afterwards presenter Nicky Piper commented he thought Higgs could be a big threat in his weight division.

The Lydney-based boxer is already back in training. His father, Bryan, said he thought his next fight could take place at Cheltenham Town Hall. A date has yet to be confirmed.
