I USE to work for an old Forester, a real character with many gems of wisdom, for example: ‘if you have a grudge against someone, buy an old house and leave it to them in your will – they will never forget you’ – something that often comes to mind as my old house gently empties my pockets.

Another saying was: ‘Never trust your trade union rep if he has a flash car, his snout is too far in the trough’ – this also came to mind recently as those wheeled out by the remain campaign commanded us workers how to vote next month, we would be ‘better off in’.

Bear in mind Cameron earns £185,000, Christine Lagarde (IMF head) earns £300,000, Kinnock earns £185,000 and Obama is on £280,000.

They do not have a clue how we all struggle. Should we bother listening ‘to them? I know what the old Forester  would have said: ‘snouts in the trough’.
