TWO partygoers, one dressed as Spiderman, the other as either Superman or Mr Incredible have damaged a medieval monument in a Forest village.

Two of four stone bollards at the base of the well-known fourteenth century cross in Clearwell were knocked over some time between 12.10am and 12.30am last Sunday (October 30). A woman is believed to have picked up the two costumed men in a black Audi, possibly an A7, with an 11 plate.

The men had attended a party at nearby Clearwell Caves and police want to hear from anyone who might know them or have seen the attack on the cross.

Anyone with information who hasn't spoken to police should call the new non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 227 of October 30.
