PLANS for the expansion of Lydney railway station's car parking area are 'moving ahead with everybody on board' said Forest MP Mark Harper's office on Tuesday following a meeting between the MP, Network Rail, Arriva Trains and Gloucestershire County Council on Friday.

The objective was not only to eliminate overcrowding which occurs at the moment but also to prepare for the expansion of the town, increased train capacity and a more integrated transport plan for the area.
