AT the age of 93, Maisie Crawford is still a regular at the Wednesday night aqua aerobics class at the Freedom Leisure centre at Five Acres.
Mrs Crawford is the oldest active member of the leisure centres run on behalf of the Forest Council and to mark that she was presented with a life-time membership card by area manager Dave Spencer.
He said: “She is a great ambassador – we’ve checked our database and she is the oldest active member in the Forest.”
Mrs Crawford, who lives at Berry Hill, also does yoga and has been swimming since the age of six and has life-saving qualifications.
She attends the aqua aerobics class on a Wednesday evening and praised the “wonderful” instructor, Coral Lord.
Mrs Crawford, who also volunteers in the Great Oaks Hospice charity shop in Coleford, added: “I would encourage all older people – it’s good exercise and a wonderful club.”
