I AM not one for writing letters normally but make an exception in this case.
Last Wednesday one of my cats had disappeared. Come Friday I was anxious. I went to my neighbour to see if he could check his outbuildings. In calling the cat, I could hear his cries coming from the far side of the garden in the following neighbour's property.
Myself and the other half went searching by the trees and undergrowth. We could hear him but could not pinpoint where. In the meantime, the heavens opened up and it got dark.
In a short time my neighbour, Paul, came home and he could tell me where the cat was. At the top of a tree/hedgerow. We think some dogs may have chased him.
Next day, two ladders would only reach half way up. Food would not bring him down, he was too scared.
Now I am desperate. Two friends of mine suggested a tree surgeon. It was worth a try.
Going through the Review we came across the ad for Arbtech free advice and quotation. In a short time they were there.
The one chap used a harness and slowly climbed up. The branches were thin and the top very flimsy –his body weight when getting near the top causing it to sway. How was the cat going to react! This man got the cat on his chest and slowly came down. It was a lovely sight. These men were brilliant! Purr-fect you might say. Also praise for Paul for all his help. – One relieved cat owner!
