WHEN director Jo Roach was looking for a play for a new group to perform, she knew exactly where to look.

The Christian musical, Timeless, was written by her mother, Janet Roach, and first performed in Newent 14 years ago and shows the Christian story is timeless.

Jo said: “We wanted a piece for the group to perform and Timeless was such a success last time that we decided to put it on again.”

She was delighted by the performan­ces at St Mary’s Church in Newent and by the response which saw the first two nights sold out.

The cast of 34 aged from six to 80 is keen to put on another show in the future, added Jo.

The first half of the show looked at how Christianity is perceived today while the second half was the story of Jesus.

Jo said: “The show was very successful and the group would like to do more in the future.”
