ORGANISERS of Coleford Music Festival are planning for the summer with an open day in Coleford Co-op on Saturday, as they seek acts, sponsors and volunteers for the 2017 Coleford Music Festival.

Festival spokesman Nick Penny said: “Planning is now well underway to stage the third Coleford Music Festival since its successful return in 2015. We have opened entries for musicians. Any acts who wish to be considered should email links to their music, web and social media sites, and a brief biography to [email protected] by February 28.

“We are also keen to talk to any potential sponsors of the event to ensure that it continues to grow year on year, and becomes financially sustainable.  We are happy to tailor sponsorship packages to meet individual business needs and would welcome these discussions.”

“This Saturday, between 10am and 4pm in the Coleford Co-Op Supermarket, we’re inviting everyone to come and meet representatives from the festival team, purchase some merchandise, register as a friend, volunteer to help at the festival, and have a say on possible performers.  Any donations of small change to help towards this year’s event would also be gratefully received.”

This year’s festival is planned to take place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July in Coleford town centre.  Further information will be made available on the official website, www.colefordmusicfestival.co.uk, over the coming months.
