I AM writing to support the Co-op.

They have been going for a very long time. I was shopping at the Co-op when we had ration books.

They have not taken over, as some people are saying. The Co-op has had a travel company, funeral director and bank for a very long time – before any supermarkets came on the scene.

I notice no-one is complaining about the supermarket selling clothes, mortgages, insurance and fuel etc.

It's about time people got their facts right, before running the Co-op down.

Also they are not in every town and city like Tescos and other supermarkets.

The Co-op is for the people, not to make a profit like the supermarkets.
