The historic Swan Inn in the High Street appears to have closed unexpectedly.

A note taped to the door reads "I am sorry for any inconvenience caused but the Swan is now shut and has ceased trading. Thank you to everybody who has supported me over the years and will miss you all, well nearly all!

"I am sorry for the lack of notice but recent events have stopped me being able to continue till Sunday. Thanks Jo"
