A CHARITY cupcake sale in Chepstow raised £500 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The event was held at the Palmer Centre in Place de Cormeilles and organiser Gaynor Gore said the amount raised surpassed expectations.
She said: “This amazing achievement was the result of a huge team effort, which brought our community together to help make a difference to the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
“A massive thank you to all the tireless bakers, shop buyers, and takers – without your delicious contributions, our vast cake tables would not have been so inviting for all those that took the time out of their day to attend the event.”
She also thanked local businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes.
There were also a number of games with Laura Morgan guessing correctly that there were 6,000 sprinkles, Angie McDade won pin the cherry on the cupcake and Gill Latimer correctly guessed the cupcake was chocolate orange.
