A COFFEE morning organised to support Friends of Lydney and District Hospital raised almost £600.
Among those who attended the event in gardens at Lower High-
bury in Bream Road, Lydney, was Forest MP Mark Harper.
The array of homemade cakes was made by committee members and enjoyed by all. And as usual each year, Joan Storrar set up her stall with a wide range of her own flower and vegetable plants for sale.
Secretary of the Friends of Lydney Hospital, Mary Thurston said: “Just under £600 was raised. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and also to all those who helped to make the event such a success. Also many thanks to Anthony Midgley for opening his garden.”
