HALLOWE’EN may have been and gone but these pictures are scarily good of work by a Cinderford trainee beauty therapist.

Madison Matthews only started doing special effects ‘sfx’ makeup two weeks ago but has already got tongues wagging – and rightly so!

The 16-year-old, who is doing a Level Two beauty therapy course at Gloucestershire College at Five Acres, says she would love to work on horror movie sets.

She said: “I love the Walking Dead and get my inspiration from horror movies. My dream would be to work on movie sets. The time it takes to do the makeup varies; the longest one I did took three hours which was a mask I made, while the bullet wound only took about 20 minutes. The hardest one to do, by far, was the hand with the bones.

“Hallowe’en was quite busy for me as you can imagine. I got into it at school when my teacher brought in some bits to do Hallowe’en makeup and I have been interested in it ever since. I get my makeup from a nearby shop.

“It’s definitely a hobby which not too many people know about besides friends and family. I imagine that is all going to change now.”
