COULD you please print this letter in the Review so I can thank all the kind people who helped me when I fell off my motorcycle by Newnham walls recently.

I would like to thank Steve Suckling and an unknown man in the white van for picking up my motorcycle and wheeling it off the road; Mrs Leach of Newnham for letting me park the bike in her barn until it could be collected; Dr Raj Bhagerutty for seeing me so promptly at Newnham Surgery; Kirsty Lowe for running to the pharmacy and collecting my prescription for me.

Most of all, I would like to thank Sandy du Pont, a pharmacist at Gloucester Royal Hospital, for coming to my aid, driving me to the surgery, taking very good care of me and seeing me home safely, driving miles out of her way and missing work – if ever there was a good Samaritan, then Sandy is!

Luckily, I was not seriously injured – only shock and bruises – but all these people have restored my faith in human nature, and I know that should I ever have a more serious accident (Heaven forbid!) then there will be more good Samaritans to help me. I only hope that one day I will be able to return the favour.

Once again, thanks to you all. – Nicola Osell, Valley Road, Lydney.
