MAY I say a thank-you to everyone who helped when I had an accident at The Paddocks Hotel at Symonds Yat on December 15 at my works party.

I was knocked over on the dance floor by a lady who was dancing a bit too energetically.

I would like to thank Sally, Clare and Joy who came to my aid. Also thank-you to members of the staff at the Paddocks and the ambulance crew for the kindness in the gentle way I was helped.

I would like to say sorry to all those who were at the party for bringing it to an early end.

I would also like to say thank-you to Rachel and all those who have visited, telephoned or sent me messages while I was recovering at home. It's been a long job.

With bones and an ankle broken an operation was needed and I had weeks of pain and physio to endure. But it has all been made more bearable by the support I have received and the love of my husband, daughters and family. Grateful thanks to you all.
