THREE cheers to all our wonderful volunteers!
I know our NHS is going down the pan, and if it wasn't for the vast array of volunteers who unstintingly give their valuable time to assist in the hospitals and other departments, it would have completely collapsed by now.
I received expert first aid from a very efficient volunteer last Sunday, June 4 at the Milkwall Garden Centre. He treated me with great care. He called an ambulance, which arrived very quickly, but at Gloucester hospital I felt really dejected – a two and a half hour wait before seeing a doctor.
I know casualty is busy but surely there is room for improvement here?
