I would agree that it is unacceptable that you were taunted and sworn at, but he/she must realise the anger and frustration of people who live in the real world.

I work in the private sector and my earnings are no match for public sector earnings to which I, as a tax payer, contribute.

My pension, after paying in for many years, will, when the time comes, be laughable and I can only dream of a public sector pension to which I, as a taxpayer, have contributed for many years.

Unlike "Disappointed council worker" however I have not had my pay frozen for three years; it has been cut by 20 per cent for the last three and a half years and now the cherry on the cake is that I have to pay a further £2 a day to park at work.
