ANYONE who was, is or ever has been a member of Lydney's Golden Triangle Club is invited to a 30th anniversary party on June 14 a week before the whole club ups sticks and moves.
The Golden Triangle Club was first formed in 1981 to give the learning disabled a better social life.
Since then it has evolved into a social club for the over-18s, boasts 150 members and holds a range of activities from discos, square dancing, skittles, games and bingo to trips to the movies, pantomimes and to cruise down the Wye from the boats at Symonds Yat.
Martha Edwards who helps run the club says: "These activities bring so much joy to our members. For some Triangle is the highlight social activity of the week and for others this is the only activity where they get to meet with their friends."
Home for the last 30 years has been Naas Lane but with uncertainty over the centre's future the club will be relocating to the Fairtide Centre, further up Naas Lane, on June 21.
To find out more about the party or the move, get in touch with Martha on 01594 845634 or 07915 611369. There is also a website http://www.thegoldentriangleclub.org.uk">www.thegoldentriangleclub.org.uk
