WE are senior citizens living in a warden-controlled area.
On Friday night (May 30) some solar lights were taken from our garden. As senior citizens we feel it is a sorry state of affairs when items that give pleasure to ourselves as well as our neighbours are stolen, probably for no useful purpose, by uncaring local thieves who just dump them afterwards.
The police have been informed and will patrol the area concerned.
However, it is time society took steps to stop people feeling uneasy for their belongings and, perhaps, personal safety. It is a shame the people concerned have nothing better to do than pick on the older members of the community.
Someone knows who these thieves are so please report them to the police or make sure they are returned to the place they were taken from. – Senior citizen, Coleford.
