A BIG debate is currently under way regarding genetically modified crops, and surely it is misdirected?

What should be debated is the genetically modified European Union. There they are preening themselves, having robbed the Peace Prize from Norway and preparing to display it in their new £82 million, or whatever the Euro equivalent is, 'House of European History,' which will sit swanking along with their palaces in?Brussels and Strasbourg.

Herman Van Rompuy, Jose Manuel?Barosso and Baroness Ashton have surely been genetically modified into medieval warlords, making Ivan the Terrible look like a pathetic beggar. All three being paid in excess of a quarter of a million pounds PA, plus allowances and taking 93 days holiday each year.

It is also on record that the EU's own auditors have refused to endorse the annual accounts since 1995. But, the EU's latest proposal is stripping Eurozone countries of parliamentary sovereignty over their national budgets!

It would be madness for us to remain in the EU and we really must have a 'in/out' referendum soon.
