FURTHER to the letter from G Wyman about the school uniform at Whitecross.

Of course the powers-that-be know that we are in a recession but they also know that we are typically English and will put-up-and-shut-up.

But now it comes to the choice of not being able to feed your children because you have to spend £90 on a uniform instead of £25, the put-up-and-shut-up time is over.

I have spoken to other parents at Whitecross School who feel the same. Why do you not come together?

They cannot expect the majority of the children with parents who can't

afford extortionate prices for uniform. Together you can change this ridiculous policy. You are the parents and this is the Forest of Dean, not a rich city! – Anne Davies, Broadwell.
