MAY I, through the courtesy of your columns, endorse the sentiments expressed by Father Barnabus Page (April 13) replying to Chas. Stent.
Indeed, tolerance and, may I add, respect, are the essence of good living. Freewill is an important possession of us all. British Humanist or Roman Catholic, we can choose.
Let us respect and tolerate each other as we seek to live in harmony in this tiny part of the world.
Surely, if we cannot achieve this, what hope has the rest of the world with its seemingly insurmountable problems?
As a Roman Catholic I hope I can follow my faith, but respect the opinion of Chas. Stent. There is no room for intolerance of each other.
Let us agree and understand our differences, then choose our own way of living.
– Margaret Wardle.
