THERE'S a chance to tour the Purton Hulks, the largest ships graveyard in mainland Britain, on Sunday.

Gloucestershire's forgotten maritime past including sturdy Severn trows, ocean going schooners, war time concrete lighters and a myriad of working craft will be part of the tour of discovery brought to life in words and pictures in the company of marine mistorian Paul Barnett and Friends of Purton.

Meet at Purton lower bridge on September 18 at 2pm.
