LOOKING for a Halloween prop that doesn’t involve clowns? Then feast your eyes on this latest addition grabbing the attention of passers-by in Whitecroft.
Parked on the side of the road, opposite Dean Forest Tyres, the sinister looking ambulance is a shell of its former self and could be yours for a quid.
Sylwester Baczkiewicz, who runs a mobile sandblasting business, bought the ambulance for £250 a year ago from a friend who used to own the site where it is parked.
Mr Baczkiewicz said: “I’m sure there is somebody who has a bit of land and kids who would have fun with it at Halloween.
“It’s only been parked up on the side of the road for a week but I’ve already had some interest. I’m happy to find somebody who can put it to good use, has the means of transporting it and the space.
“A friend told me about it and had taken the engine and some other things from the ambulance and sold it to me. I knew I liked it when I saw the shelving in the back which I knew would be perfect to use in my work’s van.
“The lightweight shelves – which are a combination of aluminium and plastic – are expensive to buy so I bought the ambulance on that basis.
“I planned to convert it into a mobile office but unfortunately I don’t have the time because of my workload so want to sell it.”
