A SEVEN-year-old boy remains in a serious condition following a road accident last week.

He was riding his bike on North Road, Broadwell on Wednesday, April 23 when he was in collision with a black Ford Focus driven by a local woman.

He was initially airlifted from Bathurst Park in Lydney by air ambulance to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and has since been transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital.

Gloucestershire Police is asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call 101, quoting incident 387 of April 23.

A female cyclist was injured after she was in collision with a car on Bream Road, Lydney on Sunday (April 27).

The collision happened near Lydney Hospital at around 10.15am.

The cyclist was treated by paramedics and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with superficial injuries.

The vehicle, a black 4 x 4, failed to stop, but was seen to continue in the direction of Lydney.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 154 of April 27.
