GWENT Police are hunting two men after a distraction burglary in which a large amount of money was stolen from a house in Lapwing Avenue, Caldicot yesterday (Tuesday).

The two men arrived at the house in a white Transit van at around 10.55am and knocked on the door carrying a long set of aluminium ladders.

They offered to clear the guttering and moss from the roof but quickly made off having stolen a large quantity of money from inside.

The first man is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5ft 10in tall and of stocky build.

He has short, dark hair and was wearing a dark zip up top.

The other man is around 5ft 6in tall, aged between 20 and 25 with short, dark hair and wearing dark clothing.
