DOES the result of the Oldham by-election reflect what many of us believe – that UKIP have had their purple patch (excuse the pun) and politics will now return to a two party contest.

Winning at Oldham was trumpeted by Ukip as very achievable and if they cannot win against a party who are in total disarray and led by a Marxist what hope do they have?
