IT may be of interest that in 2010, Cinderford Town Council objected to a planning application for two houses on the basis that an access road would cross land allocated to the Linear Park. This was upheld by the planning officers in Coleford.

Now, according to the Cinderford Investment Prospectus 2026, we find that the Cinderford Regeneration Board is hoping to build on what appears to be over 20 per cent of the Linear Park.

Is there any hope that the same upheld objection applied to an individual might be applied to the Regeneration Board?

I doubt it as I expect that, as usual, our district council will do exactly what it feels like even when there is plenty of opposition; after all they are only interested in local opinion when they want our vote
