A MOUNTAIN bike worth around £3,000 was stolen from a house in Tidenham.

Police want to talk to two men who were seen in a white van which reversed onto drive of the house and stayed there for about 30 minutes before driving off along the B4228 Coleford Road towards St Briavels.

The offenders broke into a utility room at the house and took a white Lapierre Zesty 514 bike.

The 21-gear machine also has a cadence monitor – which mea­sures the number of pedal strokes per minute – and power meter.

The van had the name of a painting and decorating firm on its side and was seen outside the house at around 11am on Wednesday, January 25.

It is believed the van may have been in the area on the days before the burglary.
