I WOULD like to tell everyone about my day at the Speech House vintage show.

I, my parents and my son have all supported this show over the years by exhibiting classic cars.

However, this year I woke up with a blinding migraine and arrived at the gate at 9.45am, 15 minutes late and to be shouted at with abuse by a man.

He was really nasty and would not let me in, telling me: “Tough, you’re late.”

Eventually, because of the traffic build-up, he let me in, followed by my son.

As we parked, another exhibitor was complaining about the man on the gate – this person had come from Bristol and had got stuck in traffic.

He was not impressed because the show does not open to the public until 10am and without us showing our cars there would be no show.

This put a downer on the whole day and on leaving the show at 5pm, I passed the man who had been on the gate who said: “Don’t even think of coming next year.”

I was really upset but didn’t say anything to him because I was a lady on my own.

There will certainly be at least four cars less next year as people have said that is no way to represent a lovely show in our lovely Forest of Dean.
