EXHIBITORS and show-goers at the sixth annual Speech House Vintage Show were not put off by the poor weather.
The show, organised by the Forest Vintage Vehicle and Machinery Club, attracted hundreds of visitors and had the largest number of entries ever in the steam engine section.
Secretary Sharon Vickers said: “It was overcast all day but amazingly, people just kept on coming through the gate.
“This is our sixth year so we are very well-established and people came out to support us.
“Attendance was down but the number of exhibitors was hardly down and they put on another great show.
“We had more steam engines than ever and although the number of classic cars was down there were a lot of commercial vehicles and motorcycles among a huge array of horsepower.”
There was great interest in the tractor section with Fordson enthusiasts marking the 100th anniversary of the company.
Proceeds from the show will go to local charities.
