FOREST Routes is holding a volunteer recruitment event in Coleford on June 1 to coincide with Volunteers’ Week 2016.

The week runs from June 1 to 12 and is an opportunity for organisations to champion their volunteers, to inspire others to get involved and to showcase the range of volunteering options available.

The event will be held at Sixteen Community Café between 11.30am and 3pm. There will be cake and opportunities to find out how you can help and speak to community transport partners and current volunteers.   

Forest Routes is made up of four transport partners across the district: Bream Voluntary Car Service, Lydcare, Lydney Dial-a-Ride, and Newent Dial-a-Ride. 

The transport services depend greatly on the generosity and dedication of volunteers in order to continue to operate.
