VOTING in elections to fill two council seats takes place tomorrow (Thursday).
The elections for a Gloucestershire county councillor in Mitcheldean and a Forest of Dean district councillor in Newnham and Westbury following the death of Cllr Norman Stephens.
The Independent county and district councillor died in August.
In the Mitcheldean election, eleven polling stations will be open in: Longhope, Birdwood, Corse, Hartpury, Huntley, Longhope, Mitcheldean, Rudford, Tibberton and Westbury.
There are six candidates for one seat as County Councillor to represent Mitcheldean. They are: Malcolm Albert Berry (UKIP), Jackie Fraser (Labour), Sue Henchley (Liberal Democrat), Ken Power (Green), Brian Richard Robinson (Conservative), and Ian Richard Whitburn (Independent).
In the Newnham and Westbury election for a District Councillor, there will be polling stations in the Armoury Hall, Newnham, and the Parish Hall in Westbury.
The candidates for the seat are: Richard Henry Boyles (Conservative), Peter Foster (UKIP), Ian Iredale King (Liberal Democrat), Sid Phelps (Green), Simon Charles Phelps (Independent), and Jenny Lee Shaw (Labour).
The polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
