HELLO everyone.

It's time to wake up and put your pen to paper, time to stand up and let your voice be heard.

At the moment we are all driving, walking, cycling, barbecuing and generally enjoying ourselves in the woods, thankful to be living in such a beautiful place. But how long for?

I understand plans are afoot to change 120 acres in the heart of the Forest, places of great beauty and with an abundance of wildlife.

I always understood the Statutory Forest was protected but it seems to me that behind the scenes certain people are working quietly away and pressing ahead with plans of their own.

Let's protect our Forest, the one and only of its kind in Britain. Don't let a thing be destroyed as if it happens the Forest will be ruined forever.

Please write to your MP or the papers and do what you can to protect this area.

What amazes me is that there are many industrial sites around the area which are empty. Surely money should be ploughed into them?
