REDBROOK Angling Club are holding a free fishing taster or brush up your skills event on Saturday July 9 at a pond just outside Monmouth.

Following the popularity and success of a previous event, in the lead up to National 'go fishing' month and the long school holidays, Redbrook Angling club is holding free taster sessions for juniors who may wish to take up coarse fishing.

All the equipment, bait, and tuition will be provided free of charge so participants only need to bring themselves along. It is held with a professional coach and no licenses are needed (so no catches here apart from the fish).

The event will be run by National Federation of Anglers coach Nick Oakley.

A number of limited spaces are still available on a first come first serve basis to juniors aged six years or over. Supervised tuition will be given in one and a half hour slots at a time for a maximum of up to six participants at any one time, starting at 9am.
