I HOPE I'm not the only person in the area to reply on this subject, but I feel Cy Roberts' education must have been sadly neglected if he thinks that only Poland among other European countries came to the UK's aid during WWII.
While I only have specialist knowledge of the aviation side I feel sure that many other occupied countries' soldiers and sailors came to assist us as their airmen did. Within RAF squadrons there were Czech, Dutch, Belgian, Danish, Norwegian and French airmen serving alongside our own men and women, and in some cases forming entire squadrons within the RAF along with their compatriots.
I hope this puts the record straight for future readers.
